Tonight Cairns and the towns close by are waiting with baited breath to wait out Cyclone Yasi. In the last couple of weeks some friends moved up there to start a new chapter in their lives. When we moved to Bundaberg in 1999 we would always see ad's on TV about cyclones and how to prepare for one. We got really freaked out then the locals would assure us it didn't happen often.
QLD has been getting a real beating this last month or so.
